Mexico Real Estate

Have you ever thought about retiring to a culturally rich and diverse country such as Mexico? It is full of lovely serene retirement havens that make for a great Mexico real estate investment as well.

Many Americans and Canadians have already made Mexico their post-retirement destinations. Though the expats are scattered in dozens of villages throughout the country, they are concentrated more in these five locations - San Miguel de Allende, Mazatlan, Oaxaca, Guadalajara, or Lake Chapala. There's more to Mexico than just being known as retirees' haven.

Why Mexico

You may be wondering, why Mexico? There are many reasons why Americans and Canadians choose to make Mexico their post-retirement or second home destination.

And the most important reason is the close proximity of this country with US and Canada. It's easy to just drive down to their alternate residence, hassle free movement!

But there is a large population of Europeans in Mexico as well. Rich with history, steeped in old culture and traditions, blessed with beautiful blinding white sand beaches kissing the shores of sparkling sapphire blue waters, great architecture wealth, and some amazing cuisine - Mexico is perhaps most popular destination in Latin America with the exception of perhaps only Brazil and Argentina.

Mexico real estate also has a good investment potential as it offers modern facilities, better infrastructure, better highways, and increased access with the neighboring countries and cities within the country. Moreover, with better internet connectivity it's always easy to remain in contact with the rest of the world.

This level of infrastructure may not be possible in some of the other countries, making it one of the prime factors in determining whether you should invest for your retirement or second home in Mexico.

Additionally, the tourism sector is the backbone of Mexico's economy. Today, tourism industry contributes around 8% of the Mexico's GDP and provides a total of 9% of all jobs in the country.
